About Us

Using premium, kiln-dried, local, domestic, and exotic wood, we create functional kitchen art that will enhance your dining and food-preparation experiences for a lifetime.  All of our wood products are unique and handmade in Nakusp, British Columbia, Canada.

End-Grain Cutting Boards

End-grain cutting boards provide the best possible experience, both aesthetically and functionally, for any chef preparing dinner or presenting your culinary creations at your next dinner party.

All of our cutting boards are finished with a proprietary blend of food-grade mineral oil and beeswax, hand-sanded to a glossy sheen with 320 grit sandpaper, and include rubber feet fastened with stainless steel screws.

The vertical orientation of the grain keeps your knives sharper for longer, as the blades pass in between the grains of the wood, as opposed to sawing through the fibres of a traditional board.

The board itself is essentially self-healing from knife marks, as the grains naturally close back up after each use.

The rubber feet allow for equal airflow around the board, allow for easier handling of the board, and keep it solidly in place on the countertop.

Care for the boards is really quite simple. Keep them from soaking up too much water, and keep them from extended exposure to heat sources. Apply any stable oil or oil/wax blend occasionally as the wood dries out. If you are consistent in caring for your board, it will reward you with a lifetime of service.

Wood BBQ Grill Scrapers

Replace your old wire-brush BBQ grill scraper with one of our wooden grill scrapers.  They are made with locally sourced, FSC-certified sustainable lumber from the Harrop Procter Community Forest, located in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia.  They are easy to use and will form grooves that custom fit to your grill.
