How it all started vs How it's going

AMC Naturals proprietor Aidan McLaren-Caux has always been passionate about woodworking. It has allowed him to combine a love of nature (nurtured by his father) and the creativity he gets from his mother into a wonderful creative outlet.

But it wasn’t until 2015 when he made his first custom piece (a hand-crafted end-grain cutting board from a donated piece of B.C. cherry wood) that he turned that passion into a full-time career. And in 2021, thousands of custom creations later, he’s never looked back.

Today AMC Naturals produces (by hand) a wide variety of wood cutting boards, serving boards, kitchen accessories and custom furniture pieces. And because they allow the features of each piece of wood to inspire the finished product, every finished creation is truly unique—and beautiful!

AMC’s boards and accessories are functional and durable (they’ll never need to be replaced), but they also double as stunning, one-of-a-kind wood art. And they’re made from sustainably-sourced wood, something that AMC is really proud of.

AMC Naturals cutting and serving boards are used and loved by chefs, displayed with pride as art in homes, and given as thoughtful housewarming, wedding and anniversary gifts. Unique, hand-crafted, highest-quality and sustainably-sourced—what could be better?

So if you’re looking for a wood cutting board that’ll last forever and help keep your knives sharper longer, a totally unique piece of natural art for your home, or the perfect gift, explore AMC’s generous selection available now.

AMC Naturals also does custom work, helping to guide clients through the process of turning a creative idea into a beautiful piece of functional wood art totally their own. (You can reach out directly here to enquire about custom pieces.)
